The Controlled Schools’ Support Council (CSSC) congratulates all those from the education sector recognised in the 2025 New Year Honours list including all who have worked in or contributed to educating children and young people in the controlled sector. Honours are give to people from all walks of life and all sections of society who have made a difference in their community.

Limavady High School, a controlled school in the heart of the Roe Valley community and part of the Limavady Shared Education Campus recently celebrated their 63rd annual prize day. Mark Baker, Chief Executive, Controlled Schools’s Support Council joined the celebrations and congratulated all students on their achievements.

Congratulations to Carrickfergus Grammar School who were named as the Families First 2024 'School of the Year' for the Northern Region. The controlled school outperformed competition from 11 other deserving finalists in this region to win.

Construction of the Strule Shared Education Campus recently began in Omagh.
The campus brings together six schools from across the community, including secondary, grammar, and special school provision, accommodating over 4,000 children and young people from all backgrounds.
